Code of Conduct

The ACTEW Code of Conduct aims to establish a culture which respects and values each individual's contribution, promotes and rewards creativity and initiative, eliminates discrimination, and encourages maximum productivity. In order to achieve these aims, employees are required to abide by the Code of Conduct. The Code applies to directors, executives, management, staff, contractors and consultants.

Feedom of Information

ACTEW is subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 1989.

Section 7 Statement

ACTEW owns the ACT’s water and sewerage business and assets, and is a 50% owner of ActewAGL. ACTEW’s office is located in a prominent location in the Civic Centre, provides wheelchair access and is accessible by public and private transport. Paid parking is also available in close proximity to the office.

ACTEW is responsible for the implementation and management of the Utilities (Water Conservation) Regulation 2006. The Water Conservation Office provides a telephone hotline service to inform and educate the community about Permanent Water Conservation Measures and the Water Restrictions Scheme. The Office also undertakes community consultation through public workshops, community events and print, radio, television and website advertising.

Documents in the possession of ACTEW relate to all business and operational activities.

Section 8 Statement

ACTEW maintains a list of all documentation for the administration of the Water Restriction Scheme and Permanent Water Conservation Measures.
