    The Cotter Dam Education Program

    As part of the Enlarged Cotter Dam project, ACTEW committed to developing an education program to involve local students and help them learn about the significance of the new dam and the Cotter Precinct. The program, which will reach students from Kindergarten to Year 10, includes a comprehensive suite of education units and resources developed by teachers, for teachers.

    Better gardens, less water

    In conjunction with ACTEW, local independent specialists are holding workshops to help you learn about how to have a healthier garden which uses less water.

    Grass Roots - the Turf and Irrigation Research Project

    ACTEW’s Grass Roots Turf and Irrigation Research Project involved transforming a local Canberra primary school oval into a complex turf and irrigation monitoring site. Our results show how you can use up to 40% less when watering your lawn – which will also means a saving on your water bill.
