ACTEW's Water Wise Garden Community Reference Group

What is the Community Reference Group?

ACTEW Corporation Water Wise Garden Community Reference Group (CRG), is a group of twelve community members who have an interest gardening and water conservation. The purpose of the group is to provide ACTEW with important feedback and input into a planned new water wise garden, which ACTEW is planning for at the Canberra International Arboretum.

What will the CRG do?

The CRG will meet regularly with ACTEW throughout the design phase for the planned new garden. At each stage through the design process the group will provide their views, opinions and ideas about the garden.

How was the CRG selected?

ACTEW called for nominations for the CRG in February 2009, and the group was selected in early March 2009. The twelve members of the group were selected based on criteria such as an ability to represent personal or industry views on water wise gardening, practices or wider community education.

Can I become a CRG member?

No, the CRG members have already been selected. But you can still provide your feedback on what you would like to see in a water wise garden.

How can I be involved?

Although the Community Reference Group has already been formed, other members of the community can still get involved and provide their ideas on what they would like to see in a new water wise garden. To do this, all you need to do is email your views and ideas to ACTEW's Water Conservation Office
