Best Practice Guidelines for Industry

ACTEW's Water Conservation Office, in conjunction with the various industry peak bodies in Canberra, are in the process of developing 'best practice water use guidelines'. ACTEW has engaged with industry groups whose business operations rely significantly on the use of potable water and/or groups that are affected by the restrictions scheme.

In collaboration with each industry group, and drawing on research from around Australia and overseas, ACTEW will develop a series of measures to which industry groups can sign up to, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to water efficiency.

ACTEW has finalised guidelines for the following industries:

• Turfgrass Association of Australia (ACT) - Best practice guidelines for the establishment of warm season grasses.
• Motor Trades Association - Motor vehicle industry Water Conservation Agreement.
