ACTEW is undertaking a range of works to secure water for our region.
Water Security - Major Projects
In October 2007, the ACT Government announced a range of new water supply projects which ACTEW is now working to implement.
The major projects currently underway include the Enlarged Cotter Dam, the Murrumbidgee to Googong Water Transfer and the Tantangara Transfer.
ACTEW has also undertaken work to design a Demonstration Water Purification Plant, but construction of the plant has been deferred subject to the successful implementation of the other three projects and no further deterioration in inflows.
