Company structure

The corporation operates under a seven-member board appointed by the voting shareholders, the ACT's Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. The voting shareholders determine terms of appointment and remuneration paid to directors. Three directors of the ACTEW Board are also appointed to the ActewAGL Board.

ORGANISATIONAL OVERVIEW

At the end of 2007/08 there were 35 staff positions at ACTEW.

ACTEW is a small organisation with very large responsibilities and assets and a small number of core staff. From time to time it is necessary to engage additional resources for particular activities and projects. In the coming five years ACTEW will deliver significant major water infrastructure programs. In view of the increased responsibilities and activities, additional staff will be engaged to provide water policy, financial, administrative and communications support and advice.

Management Team

Day to day management of ACTEW is undertaken by a team of executives and senior managers whose responsibilities are outlined in the organisational chart above.

    Ms Stolt commenced with ACTEW in 2004. She is responsible for the management of community information, education and consultation.
  • Ian Carmody BEc
    Director Water Security Operations
    Mr Carmody was appointed as Director Water Security Operations in November 2009. He is responsible for leading the ACTEW involvement in the program of major capital projects including the Enlarged Cotter Dam, the Murrumbidgee to Googong Water Transfer and the Tantangara Transfer Projects.
