Help to maintain your gardens over the holidays

To help you to maintain your garden over the holiday period, a general exemption for once-weekly sprinkler use begins Saturday 19 December 2009 and runs until 31 January 2010.

This means that sprinklers and other irrigation systems can be used to water lawns and plants between 7pm and 10pm only, on:
a. SATURDAYS for premises with an EVEN street number; and
b. SUNDAYS for premises with an ODD street number.

The exemption is designed to help you if you currently hand water but will be away on holiday over Christmas and New Year. It means you can set an automatic sprinkler or spray system to water once a week while you are away.
