Wetlands - using nature's own treatment

Wetlands act as nature's own treatment system through the natural environment of sunlight and vegetation. An option being considered for the Water Purification Scheme is to allow the purified water to flow into a specially designed wetland. The water would pass through this wetland before entering a local stream that feeds the Cotter reservoir.
